Culture
Cultural life in Ljubljana is richer from year to year. More than 10 000 cultural events yearly and more than 14 international festivals; especially in the summer time there are many open-air events providing pleasent and lively atmosphere.

Ljubljana is a homeplace of many Slovene museums and galleries ( National Museum of Slovenia) with archaeological and other kinds of items, Nature Museum with zoological, botanical and geological collections, National Gallery with works from Gothic to Impressionism, Modern Gallery with a permanent collection of Slovene artists of the 20th Century.
Festival Ljubljana with events on the Ljubljana and Križanke Open-Air Theatre for all tastes; SNG Opera in Balet offers an interesting opera and ballet repertoire. In Autumnm there is time for the International Film festival LIFFE, there are also many other important events, such as International Gaphic Biennial, Industrial Design Biennial.
In the neighbourhood, just a few minutes away from the Hotel Lev, there are a cultural and conference centre Cankarjev dom and Gospodarsko razstavišče, a venue for many fairs and events.
